Recruitment timelines and process

Recruitment for program running from May to August:

  • September

    Roles are posted to school career sites

  • February

    Deadline alert! Applications are due

  • January to April

    Interview process takes place

  • April

    Offers extended and accepted

  • May

    Go time. M-School starts!

What you can expect in the program

The best thing about being an M-Schooler is that no day is the same! Each day comes with new challenges, opportunities, responsibilities, and learning experiences that are exciting and invaluable.

Editorial

You will join one of our publications and be given the opportunity to contribute story ideas and write web content, short articles or sidebars. You’ll also be fact-checking, image sourcing, and building online articles.

Marketing

You will be placed with one of our brands and will assist with researching prospective clients, preparing media kits and client presentations, and sales reporting. You may also have the opportunity to participate in new business development in an integrated and multiplatform environment.

Design

You will work closely with the art department at a consumer or business-to-business magazine. Interns may be asked to design pages for the print and tablet editions, or in-house advertisements.

Videography

You will work closely with our in-house video unit and be heavily involved in video projects for different brands, from pre-production to post-production. The ability to shoot on DSLR cameras and to edit video using Adobe Premiere is essential. Interns must have their own equipment and be experience using it. Some travel may be required.

Production Operations/Digital Publishing

This group is involved in nearly every aspect of our publishing operations, from scheduling and managing the production of our print and digital products, to prepress, premedia, imaging, content workflow, and advertising operations.
