We sat down with Nekese Mcnabb, Recruitment Consultant, as part of our monthly series that profiles unique jobs around Rogers.
What is your role on the team? Describe what you do everyday.
My role on the team is to engage, attract and hire top talent for our retail stores as well as supporting other roles in our corporate offices.
What inspired you to join the team at Rogers?
Rogers has always been the company of choice to join. A top Canadian company who values internal growth and development. I love the fast-paced environment and the abundance of projects that you can take part in developing your skills and expertise. The team here is very welcoming and care a lot about your overall happiness and success.
Why is the work environment at Rogers well suited for a new grad looking to launch their career?
A new grad is full of energy, excitement, eagerness and that is exactly what the work environment brings. Someone who loves a challenge and enjoys learning new things. I also love that you will always have support every step of the way.
Tell us about the people you work with – what makes them great?
My team is amazing! Best recruitment team in Canada. They are supportive, understanding, and always know how to make you smile. We always try to share a funny joke or story throughout the day, it helps to make the workload a bit light. I love that our team members are diverse and bring different perspectives, we have a close connection with our leaders and an open door policy. We all have the same goals, work hard and try to have fun while doing it.
What makes you proud to work for Rogers?
I am proud to work for Rogers because there are so many endless opportunities to grow my career in many different directions. Rogers really invests in its internal talent and I can see a bright future ahead. Everyone is close and treats you like family. I love being a part of an innovative company that is always striving to do better and not just stick with the status quo.
